My new Peace design is brimming with whimsy! The story behind the boot design is when I sketch a design into my sketchbook, I just throw any silly boot shape to add the details that I want to remember. I liked the silly kid art looking boot shape that I brought it through to the finished stocking. If any design can pull off a kid art look it's Peace! Crafted from 100% reclaimed wool and borrowing from my retro childhood, I combine a brown and flax colored gingham checked bow with reclaimed wool polka-dots and golden stitched peace sign. The globe design is embroidered together using a lovely earth
shade of green and blue cotton. The Peace tag is created to look like a free form stitched word on lined paper fabric held in place with a beautiful antique Mother of Pearl button. On the toe I added a fun combination of glittered and stiffened antique and new lace eyelet with a fun band of cotton and writing. The fun ruffled cap is crafted from soft dressmakers mesh and gold cord the old fashioned way. This little darling is fully lined in cotton with a gently poly stuffed foot. Displays from a satin cord. Artist signature tag signs the back. Limited edition of 10. Measures approximately: 32 1/2" tall and 15 1/2" from heel to toe. Handcrafted in the USA.
