Once upon a time lived a little girl with a big imagination...
As I reminisce I can remember creating a world within the world; a very magical place inspired by colorful and enchanted things! I was fascinated with the Robin's eggs colored with such a blue! (to this day one of my favorite colors), the Monarch Butterfly's chrysalis in a minty green stitched with a golden seam, the various shades of lichens and mosses, vintage velvets that whisper opulence, old gold, fairies with shimmery wings that hum in flight, living inside a candle light Jack o Lantern with my dolls...well you can see a fun mix of reality and make believe still mark my work today! I draw inspiration from several of the creative masters such as Faberge (Faberge Eggs), |
Modigliani, DaVinci, Monet, Galileo ;), Klimt and many of you! I've encountered so many lovely techniques from my own contemporaries; using old styles with new flare...brilliant!
I love to combine real, sensible ideas with a touch of whimsy! A fun favorite concoction is a combination of old, worn or chipped with the glitz of gold or silver; a polished primitive if you will. My favorite projects always involve construction and three dimensional work; designs that need to be built.
Every work that I put my heart and hands to is carefully planned with all attention to detail, rich colors and originality!
I hope you enjoyed your stop into my little world. Drop in often to see what new idea makes its debut. My sketch book is full and I can't wait to share my ideas with you!
Glad you stopped by!
Sincerely, Lenae

He said he could do that in copper for me and voila! He now inherited several projects. I have to say, I love sharing this artful adventure with him and most of all when we take the time and do art shows.
I love you, shop boy! :) |
